1001 Albums Summary

of course the first album i on this list is a Beatles album. This albums to me seems pretty solid with not really any stand outs. Yellow submarine is annoying idk. Don’t think these guys really knew how to pop their pussy. Probably liked it more than i would’ve if the Beatles weren’t such pop culture giants

Really good selection this time around. Had a lot of different influences which can together nicely on this one of a kind record

not a big rock person, some hidden gems on this record. The vocal delivery for the most part was very jarring to me.

A great album to back up some of the greatest hits of the 80’s, I love how concise and cohesive this album is. Only eight decent sized tracks that all build on each other.

I will never understand how these projects, whose entire goal is to just be bombastic production from start to finish are regarded with such critical acclaim from music snobs and nerds. I’ve been doing this project for a couple weeks and I have run into at least five albums that appear broadly to be all the same. All these projects lack any form of lyric nuance, narrative story telling, emphasize on melodic or harmonic production, live instrumentation or really human personality. They are in their truest forms funky soundboards in album form. That’s fine if you like it by why is this type of music deemed so high among the musically snobbish types.

An album that has aged in the worst way possible. Everything from the production to vocal effects of this album are very much stuck firmly in the 70’s and in a way that has not achieved the timeless sound of several other vintage albums. Listening to this music seems like listening to the draft of a collection of 70’s computers sound effects. I’ve been told I have to appreciate this album ‘for what it is’ which is not something I expect to have to do from a list of only 1001 albums everybody should hear before they die. I see how production-heads and vintage video game nerds would be all over this track but in my opinion it has not held up at all.
