Songs From The Big Chair
Tears For FearsI love this album. Was already familiar with several of the songs but hadn't listened to it all of the way through. The way Broken hints at then shifts into Head Over Heels is fantastic.

I quite enjoyed the beginning of this album but it did drag on in 70s prog fashion in bits.
Great vibes. Would be lovely at a party. Pretty jam-sesh feeling and not really something that goes anywhere.

I enjoyed the opener, Mambo Sun, but otherwise found the album fairly bland and don't care much for the lyrics.
I really didn't enjoy this. I expected going in to like it given that I've enjoyed some of their later work but somehow none of this gelled with me and just sounded kinda noisy.
Meeting Across the River has a good sound. The rest... really didn't gel with me. I don't feel like his voice is adding anything to the fairly solid backing band. The lyrics just don't really connect with me. And the songs often don't really feel like they build or have much in the way of dynamics.
Solid album. Great lyrics. Didn't get into the beats as much as I wanted.
Not my favorite of their albums and that's saying something because I really enjoy this album! So many solid songs on it.
Wow, ★ starts the album going so many places. Really liked that song. The rest of the album felt pretty similar but didn't call to me as much; lots of interesting bits but a bit atmospheric.
“Sounds like they bang spatulas on things”. Yup. A lot of interesting sounds that I’ve definitely heard in later songs but good god I couldn’t finish this album soon enough.
This feels like quintessential 90s music. I went in expecting to know Ironic best but realized I knew You Oughta Know more (and enjoy it a lot). Overall it was a solid album.
Red Rain and In Your Eyes were the standouts for me. Pretty solid album. Very of-the-time sounding.
A lot of interesting sounds but nothing really grabbed me.
The first song was my least favorite but the rest were amazing. I love her voice and the feeling she's able to carry through music.
