Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Nov 03 2023

Was already a fav of mine. Love all the interlude songs. Sierra Leone, Pyramids, Lost all go so hard. PINK MATTER is a forgotten fav. Sweet life and Thinkin Bout you are classics. Such a cohesive album.

The Doors by The Doors
Nov 04 2023

Heavy on keys which I liked. Break on through, soul kitchen, and light my fire are my favs. Sounds like walking into a record store. Not something I'd listen to regularly, just not my type of music.

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Nov 05 2023

A classic. Feels like THE 90s grunge/alt album, it just has so much nostalgia. She has such a unique voice and style that cannot be replicated. Best songs are perfect, hand in my pocket, you oughta know (of course), and all I really want.

Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth
Nov 06 2023

So many of these songs go on for too long. Not a fan of the vocalists. Teen Age Riot is probably the only song I'd listen to again. The rest all felt messy and too grungey/screechy for my taste. Was hard to finish this one.

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Nov 07 2023

A really fun, experimental sound with this one. Can't say it's something I'd listen to on repeat, but some of the songs really stood out and will absolutely make it in my rotation. Paper and Air are both great. Heaven is a favorite. Solid 3/5 stars.

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Nov 08 2023

Vocals are good, but where this album excels are the powerhouse instrumentals. Such a fun album to listen to. Favorites are Born to run (obviously), thunder road, she's the one. 4/5

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Nov 09 2023

The upbeat jazzy music paired with Winehouse's soulful bluesy vocals is just too good. Really not a bad song on the album, my favs are Intro/Stronger than me, You sent me flying/cherry, In My Bed, and Mr Magic. Will definitely be listening to this one more often now.

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Nov 10 2023

A mix of songs I really liked (Blue Orchid, The Denial Twist, Take Take Take, As Ugly As I Seem, Im Lonely), and then a few I really didn't like. So this one lands right in the middle for me. The overall album wasn't super cohesive.

Nov 11 2023

Very sleepy album. Was not feeling it. I'm the Man Who Loves You, and Pot Kettle Black weren't bad. Just not a fan.

Nov 12 2023

Such an incredible voice from an incredible artist. Not my favorite album overall, but it has some great songs on it. Freedom (obviously), Something to Save, Waiting for that day, soul free (this one actually ended up being a new favorite for me), and waiting reprise were all really good. Some of the slower songs just didn't resonate with me as much. Still a good album.

Dog Man Star by Suede
Nov 13 2023

So many different influences on this one makes it so fun to listen to. Very few songs that I didn't like, this whole album flows pretty well. I will say, I feel like the first half of the album has a lot more momentum, second half kind of slows down. Favorite songs are - Heroine, The Wild Ones (I really liked this one), The Power, New Generation. 4/5

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Nov 14 2023

A good album, not a great album. Would be more likely to put it on as background music. Favorite songs - Water of Love, Setting me up, sultans of swing, Wild West end

Technique by New Order
Nov 15 2023

Not a fan. Really wasn't a single song that stood out to me. 1/5

What's Going On by Marvin Gaye
Nov 16 2023

Great little album, very jazzy and soulful. I wish it was longer. Just a little churchy at times for my personal taste. Favorite songs - Whats Going On, Whats Happening Brother, Right On. 3/5

You're Living All Over Me by Dinosaur Jr.
Nov 17 2023

Very loud for the sake of being loud. Very whiney. Very screechy. Did not enjoy

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Nov 18 2023

Not as good as I had expected. Very repetitive. A little Jesus-y at times. I like Waiting In Vain, Turn Your Lights down Low, and of course Three Little Birds. Ok as background music, but not one I'd readily come back to.

Os Mutantes by Os Mutantes
Nov 19 2023

Very experimental. Fun to listen to, but not something I'd regularly listen to. A Menha Menina was the only song I could see myself coming back to.

Pieces Of The Sky by Emmylou Harris
Nov 20 2023

Not usually a country music fan, but this is classic country music. Really soulful and emotional. A little slow for my liking, but still a really solid album. Love the instrumentals. Favorite songs - Bluebird Wine (sounds so much like Dolly), Boulder to Birmingham, Hank and Lefty.

Nov 22 2023

Love AMs newer albums, hadn't listened to this one before but it was kind of a let down. Some of their sound now is definitely here, but they've changed a lot for the better in my opinion. Best songs- Mardy Bum, From the Ritz to the rubble

There's A Riot Goin' On by Sly & The Family Stone
Nov 23 2023

Such a fun and eclectic mix of sounds and influences. Really ended up loving so many of these songs. Favorites - Luv n Haight, Family Affair, Brave and Strong, Smilin, Spaced Cowboy. Will definitely be coming back to this one.

The Modern Dance by Pere Ubu
Nov 24 2023

Deeply annoying. Not a redeeming song on the whole album.

Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Nov 25 2023

Quite a few songs I really like from this one! The album felt just a little all over the place, but I enjoyed listening from start to finish. Favorites - Cannibals Hymn, Nature Boy, Breathless, Easy Money, Carry Me, O Children (recognized this one from Harry Potter movie)

Ananda Shankar by Ananda Shankar
Nov 26 2023

Not some thing, I would typically listen to, but that is the beauty of this app. I felt like the first half of the album was really good, and then unfortunately the second half got a little bit slower. Overall still a really great album, especially as background music while working. Favorite songs - Snowflower, mamata, raghupati

Nov 30 2023

The popular songs are popular for a reason. Otherwise, a pretty mediocre album. I find the vocals to be somewhat annoying. Favorite songs - Time to Pretend, Electric Feel, Kids.

Dec 01 2023

Fun mix of jazz, blues, and r&b. Unfortunately felt like the second half of the album didn't keep up with the first half. Favorite songs - Billy Jack, So in Love.

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Dec 02 2023

Not a bad jazz/blues album. Fun to listen to, but extremely long to listen to all the way through, especially with the commentary intermissions. Favorite songs - Tea for Two, Take the A Train, Diminuendo in Blue, Tulip or Turnip
