Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Nov 03 2023

BASSY. That bass isn't walking he's strutting. I like the instrumentation on Life During War. I also enjoyed Heaven; it reminded me of Bowie, while Mind felt like something Daft Punk would have loved.

25 by Adele
Nov 06 2023

First time listening to 25 the album. Very strong and listenable. Basic but I really love her lyrics on When We Were Young :) of the many I didn't know before, my favourite is Love In The Dark. Finally, being 25 at time of listening, what a triumph Adele is.

Tapestry by Carole King
Nov 07 2023

I know this album fairly well already, and it's just an absolute classic. Hit after hit, banger after banger. Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? is one of my favourite songs of all time, if not the most meaningful to my little heart. So Far Away: wonderful. Where You Lead: immortalised in Stars Hollow (as is Carole King herself). A Natural Woman: resolute. Truly a wonderful album; my first five star rating on this.

Nov 08 2023

Elton rocks hard. It's a pretty long album with some tunes that I recognise but a lot that I didn't. Nothing to point out specifically but the album is really a great work.

Nov 09 2023

I do quite enjoy a lot of the tunes on this. I think Fatboy Slim is kind of iconic and it feels like it was fresh in the nineties. As an album though, it kind of feels more like a collection of songs than something I want to listen from end to end, so I'd like to say 3.95 but I'll give it a 4.

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Nov 10 2023

Honestly, don't love it. I quite enjoy a lot of Joy Division / New Order's music but I'm not obsessed with this record. A good amount of it falls flat with me. A great job but not entirely my vibe. My first three star.

Blunderbuss by Jack White
Nov 13 2023

Meh, didn't blow me away

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Nov 20 2023

I love Amy. I hadn't listened to this record and I dig how jazzy it is.

Rocks by Aerosmith
Nov 22 2023
The Poet by Bobby Womack
Nov 23 2023

the lyrics of just my imagination hit hard

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Nov 27 2023

What a banger to open with. Didn't know any other songs before. I dig the slower sliding notes of No Expectations. Stray Cat Blues has nice piano

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Nov 28 2023

I love it!!!!!!

Dig Me Out by Sleater-Kinney
Nov 30 2023

Blondie meets Hüsker Dü and is the godmother of Panik Flower. Quite enjoyable, 3.5 ⭐

Ramones by Ramones
Dec 04 2023

Just full of classics and always a fan of their songwriting. I remember being 13, loving the Ramones, and judging everyone who wore a Ramones tshirt without liking the band. The youth don't wear those shirts anymore (and I don't judge anymore either) but if they did, they'd be repping a great great album.

Dec 05 2023

The Queen of Soul... Lovely, lovely album. I've learned a lot of new songs listening to it. Special mention to her rendition of A Change Is Gonna Come

Bossanova by Pixies
Dec 08 2023

I like the instrumental tracks the best. Havalina especially

Fever To Tell by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Jan 24 2024

Liked the song Maps for a while but never listened to the rest of the record (or anything else by them). But that's the best song on this record and I'm honestly not crazy about the rest of it. Y Control second best.
