What a journey the whole album was. Honestly from a couple of listens I can tell this is one that will make it's way towards the top of my favourite albums list. The balance between electric and acoustic sounds is used to great effect, making songs go from small and intimate to large and epic at a moment's notice. Add in the orchestral elements (mainly strings) and the musical breadth the album covers is phenomenal

Elephant by The White Stripes
Nov 17 2023

Going into this album I didn't think it would be for me. Starts out with an all time classic and it had me on the rocks for the next few songs but once I settled in and understood the ride it wanted to take me on I got so much more out of it then I thought I would. I found myself tapping my feet and nodding my head. My favourite thing about this album is the variety across it and the way instruments are panned.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Nov 21 2023

What an album, potentially thebest RHCP album out there. It definitely has some of if not my favourite RHCP songs on it. Very typical RHCP, vocal tones and inflection of Anthony are what youd expect, fun funky bass lines from Flea, Chad killing it on the drums and Frusciante doing he's weirs guitar stuff. Some of the guitar tones on this are crazy in that in isolation they'd sound terrible but they work so well in the context of the songs. Great band and great album.

L.A. Woman by The Doors
Nov 22 2023

This album encapsulates my relationship with The Doors. They have such fun musical ideas that I really enjoy but then sit on then without really going anywhere. Combine that with Jim Morrison's inconsistency, going from really velvety blues tones to having his larynx attacked by a saw you've got one album that just misses the mark for me. Don't get me wrong there's a few extremely solid songs on the album but the lows are too low for me to be a fan of the album overall

Revolver by Beatles
Nov 23 2023

Potentially my favourite Beatles album. Love the old production with strange panning and all the different sounds they make across the one album.

Blood And Chocolate by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Nov 24 2023

What a find! I would never have listened to this album if not for this app. I hadn't even heard of it before, not my fav album for sure but a bunch of variety and some really fun songs
