I honestly liked it more than I thought I would. There were a couple songs that were too repetitive for me, but also a few that I could definitely see being added to my weightlifting playlist. It really helped me understand why people say “they don’t make rock music like this anymore“
Love the title track! Nothing else really stuck with me
I found myself saying “oh I know this song” more than once! Definitely a solid album and gives me solid backyard bbq vibes.
While i believe this gentleman is very talented, instrumentals are just not for me. I was reminded of music played during corporate happy hour or a hotel lobby. Not bad - just not what I’d gravitate towards in most scenarios. Truth be told, did not complete the full album.
Why don’t I love muse ? Despite being someone who listens to a lot of alternative music, they just don’t really hit the spot for me but I can’t deny that supermassive. Black hole is a great song and this album is still pretty good.
Is it weird that I appreciate the length of the songs and how short they are especially after the instrumental album? I also think that of the Beatles music I didn’t really know any of these songs from this album except one but it’s very very good
Even though most of the songs besides heads, Will roll were new to me I really enjoyed the album and definitely would revisit it
Can confidently say this is the first time I’ve listened to a full Willie Nelson album. I did not enjoy the reprise of time of the preacher. It is also overall a lot sadder than I thought. Overall really enjoyed it!
Loved it! Obviously I’m not clear which songs are his or which he made popular but the album was so so so good.
So much synth! So much emotion! Was he the Shawn Mendes of his generation? It’s so dancey and 80s…also maybe too much whispering and chanting especially in the essential birds song, also who was the random gal that came in? Some lingering questions but also with this album I totally get why he is a mega star
I can’t believe how many of their most famous songs are on this one album. It’s so good.
Okay I didn’t listen to the whole thing but it was clearly good and stop is a bop!
It feels a bit rage-y for me. Like instrumentally, so impressive and I know the drumming ability is basically unmatched but it’s just one I have a hard time connecting with!
I’ve never heard of the hives and I’ve also never heard an album that sounds so much like the whole thing was made while on cocaine
