Honestly this album is pretty great! The first track is overrated dogwater, but the rest of the songs really pack a powerful pop punch and with great arrangements paired with a very beautiful voice, you get one phenomenal pop album. Would definitely recommend, and I'd say it is a 4.5/5

Really incredible album, the lyricism is movign and deep, which is what you'd expect from a songwriting master like Paul Simon. Not a single drop of quality was dropped in lyricism between his solo career and the one with Art Garfunkel. Great compositions spanning multiple styles too!

Honestly, this is one of the most underwhelming listening experiences I've subjected myself to. This is my third listen now, and it's as boring, tasteless, and bland as I remember. The only good thing in these songs is the basslines, the rest is all very basic "funk rock" that's a pastiche of better musicians like Prince, Sly & the Family Stone, etc. The lyricism is downright awkward with a barely functioning rhyme scheme, and the songs drag.

Beautiful album, absolutely a must-listen for anyone. Its a shame she passed away so early on, this shows her potential at mesmerizing lyricism and insanely good vocals.

A Christmas Gift For You From Phil Spector
Various Artists
One of the greatest christmas albums of all time, under Phil's direction, these bands accomplish incredible songs that ave remained timeless to this day. It's a shame such a great composer and producer ended up being a psychopath. The Ronnettes are really special.

Off The Wall
Michael Jackson
The first album he did with producer Quincy Jones, this album lays the groundwork for what was to come after with more experimental vocals from Michael that would evolve on albums that released afterwards, this album is an incredible journey front to back, the songs all having a slight disco sound while still being able to stand the test of time. Rock With you is a timeless classic with an incredible and catchy composition, the instrumentation on certain songs such as Working Day And Night sounds super incredible as well, Get On The Floor being one of the few songs he wrote himself on this album is amazing as well and Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough as well. My personal favorite off this album is the title track which is catchy and the bass is perfect. She's Out of My Life is a beautiful song that ranks up there among some of his best vocal performances and he actually cried after singing this. Unfortunately the last three songs sound incredibly dated with cheesy unoriginal and bland lyrics with compositions that are not impressive in the least bit and just reek. But the first 7 tracks are all amazing, which earns this a perfect rating!

Its a good time killer, there's some genuinely solid tunes but nothing that really stands out. If you want some background noise you could put it on.

Very negative received, and for a reason. The songs here are all basic and nearly the same thing, I couldn't tell when a new one came on from the complete void of creativity!

This is easily one of the greatest albums of all time, some of the best lyricism is in here and invokes a painting in your mind ,the guitar work is outstanding, and everything works.
