1001 Albums Summary

Jazz saxophone. Not my kind of thing. Not bad though. Most likely will not listen again

I mean it’s Queen. It’s not gonna be bad. Not the kind of thing I’d choose to listen to but still good. Killer Queen remains a classic.

Pretty could. I’ve heard people say how good this album is but never given it a listen. Could see myself listening to some of the songs in the future but others I’d get bored of quickly.

Pretty good. Not heard of the him but recognised in your eyes. Possibly something I’d choose to listen to again.

Not bad. I like the voice but something about the composition doesn’t quite sit right with me. Maybe I’m not cool enough. Sorry Nick.

Incredible. Not a single bad song on the album. If Coldplay had continued to make music in the style of Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head and X&Y in the emerging ‘post-britpop’ style they would be one of my favourite bands. Unfortunately, they kind of sold out.

Dislike. I’ve never really liked foreign language songs because I generally want to be able to understand the lyrics. Aside from that it still wasn’t my style of music.

Maybe I don’t like jazz. I’ve realised I much prefer listening to songs with lyrics or it gets boring for me, like I’m just listening to a backing track.

Bit old for my liking I think.

I’ve listened to a few Silver Jews songs. None of these really stood out immediately but it might be worth another listen.
