Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Dec 29 2023

Surprised I didn’t love this album as much as I thought I would. I usually love everything I’ve ever heard from CCR… but not loving this album. Of course I love their version of Proud Mary too, but the other songs are not a stand out for me.

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Jan 01 2024

Thinking of you alone is worth this return to disco. Love the whole album but this song was my favorite.

Raw Power by The Stooges
Jan 04 2024

Music from another generation. I can rock to it, but nothing catches my ear from this album.

Here, My Dear by Marvin Gaye
Jan 05 2024

Really engaging album. Never have heard many of these songs before. Probably will give a few more listens over my lifetime.

Jan 08 2024

I wanted to love this album because I love the talking heads but another album that just went over my head I guess. Will give it a couple more listens but not in my top rated albums so far.

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Jan 12 2024

I’ve have between the bars on my repeat playlist and was looking forward to listening to this album. I think I like it, might need to listen to it over time for it to grow on me. But I love his musical style and wish other songs had hit me the way between the bars did. Maybe it will take awhile.

Arrival by ABBA
Jan 15 2024

I’m intimately aware of ABBA having grown up in the 70s while my parents rocked to this. These songs tho many of them are new to me. So great new intro to their discography.

Nevermind by Nirvana
Jan 31 2024

I feel like this has aged and is now reminiscent of a particular period in time. But doesn’t translate across time. Still a good album.

If You're Feeling Sinister by Belle & Sebastian
Jan 03 2025

Enjoyable, joyful even a little melancholy. I like the review that says it’s for cold weather days when you need a cozy blanket and a cuppa tea for company. Add some Belle & Sebastian and it’s a complete day.
