1001 Albums Summary

*National Anthem sounds like the very first day of band class in 5th grade when no one has any idea how to play their instruments yet and they're waiting for the instructor to show up so everyone's just playing random shit and it sounds like chaos. * treefingers is a really nice song but is out of place in the monstrosity of noise that this album is. there's no in between on this album, the song is either aggressively weird or just kinda meh. overall idk why anyone felt this was an album that NEEDED to be heard before i die. i hated it :)

* Tears of Rage makes me think of a movie scene during the climax where everyone's sad and bummed out and it's showing a montage of everyone sulking around in different settings right before a resolve comes to light. I dig it. * caledonia mission GOES SO HARD. i am simply vibing to this. added to 'liked songs'. * today i learned this is where 'the weight' is from which sadly the way i originally learned of this song was from an illegally made album full of song mixing by the artist 'girl talk' on the album 'feed the animals' (2008) because my music taste was even more lame when i was 18 in cosmetology school. 10/10 song! * chest fever GOT ME HEAD BOPPIN

* Sixteen Saltines - this is a fucking BOP let's go!!! I actually added a ton of these songs to my Liked Songs playlist so that alone shows me I really enjoyed this album. Must be a Detroit thing. :)

This was my first time really listening to the Yeah Yeah Yeah's outside of hearing Heads Will Roll all over the place in 2009. I enjoyed this album a lot! Very boppy. I think I enjoyed Dragon Queen the most!

This album was not my taste and I honestly did not even make it through the entire thing but I'm going to rate it 5 stars because she hates Joe Rogan.

Spellbound - WOW already giving me Pat Benatar vibes! This is definitely a vibe. Arabian Nights - I should've known this album was going to RIP when I saw there was a song called Arabian Nighs because that is also a 10/10 song from Aladdin. kekeke Halloween - this may be my favorite song on the record. I love that it's kind of nostalgic and thinking about the simpler times of childhood but also is so dark. Monitor - this BEAT!!! I LOVE this. Such an 80s feel. SIN IN MY HEART GOES SO HARD!!!! Overall, to me this feels like a timeless album. You can pop this on at any time and absolutely enjoy every moment no matter what year you're in.

Into - already got me semi stressed I don't do well with hearing arguing lmao Gimmie The Loot goes so hard and kinda makes me laugh a bit but idk why he felt the need to keep the coughing in at the end. did not love that :)

Amazing, timeless album. I don't even need to say anything else about it!

COWBELL!!! This album was pretty damn good! Glad I got to hear it before I died. I enjoyed the first Some songs I added a couple to my favs: Silence Kid & Cut Your hair Unfair has such a 'Blur' vibe to it.
