Well worth it's iconic status as arguably the most important jazz album of all time.
Certainly better than the bulk of Tommy and Quadrophenia with some strong rock tracks in Baba O’Reilly and Won’t Get Fooled Again but for me the highlight is Behind Blue Eyes where Daltrey’s vocals are right on it. The Who’s best album? Not sure.
I don't think it outshines '77 but it is a good representation of the Head's early music.
This is the first album that I don't have in my collection so .... I'll be back. Not my tasse de te
