Court And Spark by Joni Mitchell
Jan 09 2024

Very pleasant listen. I've heard of Joni Mitchell quite a bit but have never listened too closely to her work. I thought this was a pretty solid album - didn't love it, didn't hate it, just a good album with a warm vibe.

Bad by Michael Jackson
Jan 10 2024

In 2024 - honestly not sure how I feel about the album. Thinking about hearing it in 1987, though, I have to say that while the genre isn't my typical preference, it has a quintessential 1980's sound and seems to define the decade, musically about as well as any single album can.

Moving Pictures by Rush
Jan 11 2024

To me, Rush perfectly represent prog rock's transition into the 80's. This was already an album I've listened to many times and love. It may not be an "everyday" listen for me, but when I'm in the mood, this really scratches a certain itch and helped progress prog into a more accessible, mainstream format.

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Jan 12 2024

There were a few misses for me, but this was surprisingly good for a band I had listened to a hand full of times in the past and wrote off as one I didn't like. The album is definitely making me take a second look at Arcade Fire.
