1001 Albums Summary

A lot more instrumental than I anticipated. Lots of slow burns in a relatively short album. It was a nice listen!

I really did not look forward to listening to this album or enjoying it. It was a good solid album however. I enjoyed the continuous story if Ziggy being told throughout the album.

I had no prior knowledge of this band, so it was a pleasant surprise to enjoy their music. This album was very relaxing and reminiscent of Daft Punk. The songs flowed together coherently and I felt some semblance of an overarching love story being told.

The album is very catchy. The instrumental is at times unexpected.

This album had sweet, catchy lyrics. Such simple, universal messages were captured wonderfully.

What an iconic, rock voice. I feel that the songs were not structured well enough to accompany that voice, especially lacking lyrically.

It was alright. I thought I would enjoy post punk more. There were random instances of harsh, discordant sounds throughout the album that took me out of the moment.

A very cohesive lovestruck album. I was familiar with a few of the songs before listening. I enjoyed it.

Solid album. I enjoyed how each song segued into the next.

His voice is so powerful and the instrumental music is lively. The album is lengthy, but I found it wasn't distracting. I'm glad this album was included among the western music that makes up most of this list.
