Hard Again
Muddy WatersI had to hang on, To push on through. I learned one thing The hard way, sir… Blues ain’t my thang, Oh, no no.

I’ve been familiar with New Order since the 80’s. I always thought of them as pretty much just techno-dance music that happens to have lyrics which, admittedly, I never paid attention to. My opinion on that hasn’t changed from listening to Low-Life in its entirety.
I thought I had no idea who The Offspring were. The lead singer’s voice seemed familiar right away, and then I recognized the song “Gotta Get Away.” I am also familiar with “Come Out and Play” and “Self Esteem,” which were played to death on the radio in the ‘90’s and beyond. I guess I was more into popular music at the time than I realized. While I still kind of like these songs a bit, I can’t say this is my style of music. The rest of the album is too hard punk and dystopian for me.
I’m familiar with the hits, which I still find catchy. Otherwise, not my style.
