Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Jan 22 2024

Listened to half the album - good fun, felt very 80's and was a nice context for songs I had heard before but didn't have a great deal of setting for. Should return to and finish the album; I jumped off because of the lyrics (not content, just that there were lyrics

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Jan 23 2024

An album that makes you actually feel like you’re on a spaceship. Heaps of songs where I went ‘oh! I know this one! And it makes me feel… really good!’

Feb 03 2024

I’d always had the misheard lyric ‘how many roads must a man walk down, before you CAN call him a man’ and by listening to this, it was corrected and gave me a better understanding of the song

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Feb 20 2024

Best album I’ve listened to all year (so far!)

Tarkus by Emerson, Lake & Palmer

I tried for 3 days to listen to this. I really gave it a red hot go, I wanted to love it but it’s not for me. I felt challenged by the music and uncomfortable in my brain while listening to it - not in a ‘wow prog rock changing the genre’ kind of way, just in a ‘how far through the album am I?’ kind of determination to see it through. I’m only here for the album cover.

Legalize It by Peter Tosh

An album that once listened to meant I segued into reggae for the rest of the day… almost like a gateway drug…

Fantastic, strange and catchy. I remember it well from my early 20's in Australia. The intro song through to default is a great run in on the album
