Easy listening, but don’t feel compelled to return to any songs on this album. Trip Through Your Wires was the only song that compelled me to feel anything. I will say that if I was hearing this for the first time in 1987 and hadn’t heard three decades full of others do “U2 sound but refined/improved” I might feel differently. 3/5 ⭐️

Play by Moby

This has scratched a particular itch in my brain. Easy to lie back and be taken on a journey. It’s like soulful ambient lounge music but more elevated. 3.5/5 ⭐️

Ramones by Ramones
Jan 31 2024

A series of short songs that pack a punch. I can see how the Ramones are a punk-rock prototype. 3.5/5 ⭐️

Revolver by Beatles
Feb 01 2024

Not a skip in sight. Such a classic. The Beatles have the magic formula for excellent music-making. 5/5 ⭐️

Feb 02 2024

This is my first introduction to Elbow. Elbow’s lyricism is something really special. I am officially a fan. 4/5 ⭐️

Van Halen by Van Halen
Feb 05 2024

Very cool and classic. 4/5 ⭐️

Strange Cargo III by William Orbit
Feb 07 2024

Mellow and easy-listening, but just not my cup of tea. I wouldn’t turn it off if it was playing, but I wouldn’t intentionally return. 2.5/5 ⭐️

Tical by Method Man
Feb 08 2024

A couple of standout songs, but ultimately not my cup of tea. Respect for the influence Method Man (and Wu-Tang more broadly) has had on the rap scene. 2.5/5 ⭐️
