Brothers by The Black Keys
Jan 30 2024

This album rocks. Literally. I’ve listened to it countless times for 10+ years and plan on continuing to. Dance for the first half of the album, then cruise and jam for the second half. It feels timeless to me in the way it combines classic rock with bluesy feeling vocals and autotune, all in 1. Theres also a certain twang to it that I feel also can appeal to many different listeners.

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Feb 01 2024

I don’t think I’ve ever listen to an MJ album all the way through. Theres no denying Michael’s talent, but I will say that I can see why the first few songs are huge hits and the rest less so. Overall, I really liked it, but was bored with some of the slower songs.

Planet Rock: The Album by Afrika Bambaataa
Feb 02 2024

I just…don’t like this… I found it hard to get all the way through a song. Maybe if I could get a choreographed dance to watch while listening? Not my vibe, but I guess I can appreciate what they’re doing.

Murmur by R.E.M.
Feb 05 2024

Enjoyed this more than I expected to. I like the steady bass guitar and vocals. Honestly wasn’t aware of how much I like REM. The lyrics are a bit repetitive but not in too much of an annoying way.

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Feb 09 2024

I’d like to give this 3.5 stars. I enjoyed the album! The vocals were great. I feel like all of these songs would go great in movies. The acoustic songs at the end peaked my interest, but were not my favorites. I could see this being a good album to jam to.

Nilsson Schmilsson by Harry Nilsson
Feb 12 2024

This album is fantastic! The Beatles vibe of this album hits the spot. My regret is not listening to Harry Nilsson sooner. Coconut is so playful and brings me so much joy. I can picture jamming to this album while doing literally anything. I was going to give this a 4/5, but the album title pushes it to 5/5 for me.

Feb 13 2024

I love Queen so much, but this isn’t my favorite album. The 3 song medley is amazing though, and I love the Jim Croce tribute song (Bring Back Leroy Brown). I definitely appreciate the album as a transition period for Queen, and I loved doing a deep dive on about how this album came to be. Overall, I’m happy to listen to Queen any day of my life, but I think they have better stuff out there.

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Feb 20 2024

This album slaps. Turns out I’d have been a rocker if I was alive in the 80s.

The Good, The Bad & The Queen by The Good, The Bad & The Queen
Feb 21 2024

I didn’t get all the way through it, but definitely plan to. I liked it. It has Milky Chance vibes.

Crazysexycool by TLC
Mar 01 2024

This album is everything it promises to be..crazy, sexy, and cool. I love the hip hop and soul mix! Obviously Waterfalls and Creep are classics, but the album has other songs I enjoyed. My only complaint is too many interludes…I enjoyed them, but theres no need for 5.

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Mar 05 2024

No one does story telling lyrics like Bob. I love the instruments, especially the harmonica. My biggest problem is his voice…its not great at all. Overall, I like the album. Its not too much and not too little.

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Mar 12 2024

My 11th birthday was Elvis themed… Elvis may be the king of rock’n’roll, but to me, his voice was made for the soul feel of this album.

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
Mar 21 2024

I love Paul, but this album was meh. “Band on the Run” is a classic, but the other songs were just not hitting the same mark for me.

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
Mar 26 2024

The harmonies are perfection!

Here, My Dear by Marvin Gaye
Apr 12 2024

As far as Marvin Gaye goes, he’s incredible. But this album really doesn’t have many of the hits. Found myself getting a bit bored

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Apr 23 2024

“All Falls Down” is one of my favorite songs. I think this is Kanye’s best album. I didn’t get bored and skip any songs!

All Hope Is Gone by Slipknot
May 02 2024

Why does metal make me smile? The nostalgia of listening to music like this makes me reminiscent of dark times in my life, and for some reason that releases dopamine in my brain. Which is conflicting to me. I like this, but don’t love it.

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
May 07 2024

Alanis is one of those artists I’ve been meaning to listen to for a while, because she has a lot of hype. And honestly, I don’t think I get it. I knew more then I expected, “Hand in my pocket”, “you oughta know” and “you learn”, and those songs are good. But GOOD LORD SHE IS SO WHINY!!!
