Fiona Apple comes to mind for someone more recent. The musical atmosphere created in A Foggy Day is great. Her lower register is so solid and clear but her higher notes are so pretty and moving, I want more of them. She’s impressive!

Lorde! Only really listened to Pure Heroine, this started more poppy and electronic than I expected. Oh it's ecstasy. Decent album, not really for me though, definitely not as good as her first.
