Different Class by Pulp
Feb 26 2024

some Bowie vibes. Feels like a soundtrack - that's exactly how I was feeling in the first song, then that song with the 'dark talking undertones' made me picture it as a vampire movie. Based on the album cover i think vampires are a good description of their appearance and music.

Be by Common

enjoyed the music, especially in the first 3rd. need to re-listen for lyrics

The New Tango by Astor Piazzolla
Feb 29 2024

made a great soundtrack to Baldur's Gate 3. French Riviera feel, but nothing stood out overall

Le Tigre by Le Tigre
Mar 01 2024

Distortion sounds almost blown out at times and may not be for everyone, but it gives the music an archive feel that 60s music videos had when watching them as a kid in the 80s/90s 1-4 are choppy and short punk songs, with surf-rock-like rhythms and shouting lyrics. 5-6 are slower ballad-like songs that showcase some rough guitar work. 7-8 60s Fun pop rock and surf rock feel. 9- sounds like a Beck song 10- talking over repetitive piano riff, trying to make a point, but the riff is too droning and uninteresting for me to care. Could use a chorus or background singer. Last few songs get a bit ambient and lost my attention.

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
Mar 04 2024

It's not Ziggy or Station-Station, but still Bowie. Jazzy, groovy, weird, rock, ballad, swingy, Bowie. Often sounds like he could be a muppet in a good way. Songs feels like plays at times, where you can almost see the curtain open to reveal more band and bigger sound for the finale.

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac

Very few unfamiliar pieces in this album of hits. The few that were new(ish) to me were slower ballad songs showcasing her amazing voice

The Wildest! by Louis Prima
Mar 12 2024

Takes me back to blowing up super mutants in the wasteland. Fantastic classic.

Too Rye Ay by Dexys Midnight Runners
Mar 14 2024

Bowie, The Cure, and ELO vibes throughout the album, very enjoyable. Honestly surprised Come on Eileen is an 80s song and not 70s.
