ik running up that hill gets a lot of attention but i always loved the title track tbh, i think i had not listened to much else from this album before? faves: -running up that hill -hounds of love -the big sky -jig of life

not really my jam tbh, i am not super big on jangly guitar stuff or his voice, it was v samey to me & despite reading some reviews to see what other ppl loved abt it i still dont get it sadly :( no faves bc i didnt like any of them sorry :(

p dang catchy, tho i have the same issue with this as i do with a lot of grindcore albums which is overly long bits of chatting before tracks, i dont have the attention span for talking just get on with song pls faves: g funk (intro) gin & juice who am i (whats my name)? gz and hustlas

this is prob another of these things where i can understand the context and why it was a touchstone but i am not personally big on it, rock opera always hard for me to stomach idk why, i am now praying this list will not make me listen to tommy or sth idc about ur pinball wizards bro!! anyway. this started out ok but overstayed its welcome for me. :( faves: holiday / blvd

ah..trying to pry the nostalgia goggles from my eyes..tbh i think the singles off this album (and the amount of airtime the videos got on rage) helped get snobby punk baby me a bit more open to dance music. anyway. listening to whole thing now..it is so 90s, bless. does get repetitive tho, when ur not chewin on bikkies. its a couple bangers and a lot of "ok? ig i dont mind this?" (except narayan which is too fuckin long im sorry & i actively dislike fuel my fire) favs (predictable af): smack my bitch up breathe firestarter

its fine ig. bit too cruisy for me overall, even tho it has some nice snappy moments. i think it tends to suffer when hill isn't on the mic tbh. favs: ready or not fu-gee-la
