Talk Talk Talk by The Psychedelic Furs

i ended up enjoying this WAY more than i thought i would… i was never bored and i enjoyed the sound to the point i think i may even revisit a couple of these songs later. 4 stars because the vocal style really did not work for me at all and i thought i would get used to it but never did. but eventually i was able to tune that out and just enjoy the guitars quite delightfully

childhood classic… in a catalog of so many nearly flawless albums it is not their very most perfect and i think it suffers from late 80s syndrome at times as they occasionally did but still awesome music to be bald to. it’s the end of the world as we know it is such a completely perfect song through and through that the whole album is five stars for me just from that. i think i figured out i was transgender at around the same time i realized both my dad and i sing “it’s time i had some time alone” instead of “it’s the end of the world as we know it”. above all else i will always identify as being Millsian. was fun to revisit welcome to the occupation and disturbance at the heron house i think they are truly fantastic. what needs to be said about the one i love… everyone’s always known this is a great album. brings me back to my ipod days

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Mar 26 2024

boring. felt like i was exploding. not my kind of thing at all but happy i gave it a shot. it wasn’t technically bad in any sense so it gets three stars just because i feel certain there will be worse that needs the two stars spot but i want it noted that i was becoming quite sick of it towards the end

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Mar 27 2024

thank god this was more interesting than the other arcade fire album. i still would not return to it on the whole but i genuinely enjoyed the first song and the last two so i would say that despite being still quite bored with it it was better than the other one. it still only gets three stars but it was a marked improvement. upon listening to our next album i may actually begin to long for the simplicity of this

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Mar 28 2024

i felt like i needed a shower after this one. incomprehensibly stupid lyrics. it feels like everyone is just trying their best to get funky and then anthony kiedis has an insurmountable urge to make it about being a gleeful sex offender. i don’t really know how it could get any worse than this so i am awarding a very early one star rating

Take Me Apart by Kelela
Apr 03 2024

objectively good and well made but really just did not grab me at all. i really liked LMK but the rest of it did not have enough of a melody for me… what a great voice though! four stars for quality even though i do not feel like i will be revisiting it

Trio by Dolly Parton
Apr 04 2024

okay so a few of them were too dreary or too 80s but most of this was TIMELESS. the harmonies… what can be said. Women win every time

Play by Moby
Apr 08 2024

okay so a few of them were too dreary or too 80s but most of this was TIMELESS. the harmonies… what can be said. Women win every time it copied my review of trio into the review for play by moby which i think is great so i’m leaving it. that said i was incredibly bored by this and don’t care. men lose every time

Different Class by Pulp

admitting with a HEAVY sigh that some great art can still come from that worthless slab of an island.

Arrival by ABBA
Apr 16 2024

they grew them in a lab in order to make songs that honestly still rock severely even if you’ve heard them a million times. i was smiling all throughout. perfect music for going on the bus on a sunny day. What if i eat you? I am the tiger.

Crime Of The Century by Supertramp
Apr 17 2024

this did not work for me i think i am not a supertramp guy. there were some fun moments but it was just not my world
