i liked it but realistically i am not going to revisit this album

british people…don’t even think this is probably the most essential kinks album. probably slapped at the time but it’s a 2 to me.

liked this a lot more than i expected…would’ve said low 4 before the weekend but now just an unqualified 4

they don’t make guys harmonize like this anymore. but wasn’t that compelling at the end of the day

my rating is all about what i vibe with and i didn’t really care for it.

she was pretty good i won’t lie…

i’m sure if kings of leon became a great band this would be appreciated as a precursor to that but unfortunately it’s one of many examples of the proposition that siblings shouldn’t have a band. yes, there are notable exceptions to that rule, but this isn’t one. some of the more creatively star wars creature esque pronunciations i’ve heard

this album is so good. came upon an r/thecure thread from several years ago shitting on adele for covering lovesong, and while i think the cover is nowhere close to the strongest song on the album, it just made me more solidly convinced to give this a 5 to compensate (and i love the cure too). turning tables makes me cry. for me, genuine emotional response is the difference between a 4 and a 5 and this album does that.
