Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Apr 23 2024

Enjoyable. I can see why people like it. Brings a lot of energy, and the songs follow a cohesive musical style. Not my cup of tea but glad I could listen to it a few times

Crosby, Stills & Nash by Crosby, Stills & Nash
Apr 24 2024

I looooove the grooviness of this album. A combination of natural sounding acoustic guitars with electric give a folksy yet modern style. The harmonies feel inventive even in this day. They give the music room to breathe, providing both instrumental and vocal melodies. Another thing I enjoy is the variety even within the album, changing up tempos and sounds worlds but still maintaining cohesion throughout. Great stuff!

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Apr 25 2024

Really enjoyed this album. It's fun and danceable, while having a lot of music interest with the vocal harmonies. One of the things that impresses me most actually is the timing with which they give their instruments space. They know when to be more sparse and when to be more expensive. Bass-playing is insane and vibes are amazing. The best albums transport you to a new sound world and this one definitely does that

Doolittle by Pixies
Apr 26 2024

The screaming vocals definitely aren't my style, but the sheer variety and creativity used for the instrumentation and textures is what kept me listening. Honestly had to listen to it a few times before being able to enjoy it fully. Wouldn't say I liked it, but don't hate it either. The punk aesthetic just isn't for me.

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Apr 29 2024

I'm a big fan of songs that have intros and nontraditional structures as it reminds of development techniques used in classical music. Even in the context of rock instruments, not knowing what will come next keeps me engaged. That's something I do enjoy, but this style of punkish forwardness really isn't my favorite. Just personal preference.

Come Find Yourself by Fun Lovin' Criminals
May 02 2024

Music was fine. Nothing great, pleasant enough. Had some catchy beats but that's really it. Mid as can be.

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
May 03 2024

Really didn't like this one. Something about his voice just irks, like how everything is over pronounced. The music itself sounds very average, run of the mill kinda rock.

25 by Adele
May 06 2024

Enjoyed it. Voice is amazing as always. Nothing crazy in terms of creativity, just good stuff.

May 09 2024

I really liked this one. Very simple blues and country stylings, but enjoyable for sure. Dude's voice and storytelling ability are great. Pleasantly surprised I even liked it.

Everything Must Go by Manic Street Preachers
May 10 2024

Not bad! Clean, enjoyable enough, but nothing crazy. There were smalls bits of creativity that I enjoyed.

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
May 13 2024

The album has a lot of momentum as well as moments of contemplation, but it's a bit too edgy for me. The subject matter... Yeah, sometimes I don't get down with it.

Yeezus by Kanye West
May 15 2024

Amazing album. The use of such abrasive instruments and implementing them in rap was very inventive for the time. Also, it has this sort of sustained, calculated energy that I don't see in too many albums. In terms of lyrics and themes, I am kind of a fan of Kanye shifting between feeling like a God and feeling vulnerable - it's a very human experience that he imprints in this album. Either way. Super fun to listen to, as always.

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
May 17 2024

Enjoyable but nothing amazing. Would listen just to hang out.

Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder
May 20 2024

Great album. Sprawling, hopeful, touching, loose. Has some of the greatest songs of all time (Isn't She Lovely, Sir Duke) and it really does instill some form of optimism. Stevie will always be a legend in originality

Fulfillingness' First Finale by Stevie Wonder
May 21 2024

Stevie is great as always. Boogie on Reggae Woman might be one of my favorite songs of all time
