1001 Albums Summary

This album is a bit more country than I usually listen to, and I didn't enjoy it as much because of that. I can hear how the Dixie Chicks were inspired by some of these tracks, especially "Coat of Many Colors." "Early Morning Breeze" and "Here I Am" are probably my favorites, and the ones I'd be most likely to listen to on my own.

This is more my speed. I didn’t think that I’d heard of Dire Straits, but I definitely knew “Money for Nothing.” A lot of these songs are so close to what I’d listen to normally, but just a touch too 80s / sad girl energy. I still downloaded a few songs for the vibes. Also their album covers are absolutely sick from a graphic design perspective.

Definitely more hard/metal than most of the rock music I listen to, but loaded with lots of cool guitar riffs and solid drum beats AND Smoke on the Water! I don’t think I’d listen to most of these songs on my own but I can see it being a great album for the right person.

I’m vibing with this - lots of blues undertones and amazing guitar playing. Great. Definitely the kind of album I’d play front to back without needing to skip a single song. I got stuck on the 20 minute song in the middle of the album and won’t get to finish it today, but very solid stuff.

I am liking this album a lot more than expected. It's very low-key and good energy.

This is actually a pretty fun album, it just doesn't feel right for me. I don't feel compelled to download any of these songs, but it's a cool vibe and at a different time in my life I would have really liked it.

Not my style. Much more country, but good for what it is.

Very vibey. I keep hoping I'll come across songs on this album that I love, but I only downloaded one - "Idiot Brother," and if anything, that was maybe more for the title. I'd listen through this album again, there just aren't any outlier songs I'd like to make a part of my daily life.

I just started the first song and can already tell this is going to be a phenomenal album. But I love Otis Redding, so I may be biased. It's also crazy to see how many of my favorite songs are just re-records of songs off this album. The more I listen the more I love this album. I'm just downloading every song at this point.

Proud Mary is the highlight of this album. I thought the rest was rather adequate but nothing stuck out to me. Still, good vibes throughout.

Really interesting and distinct from every other album I’ve been listening to. I was surprised that I liked some of these songs and recognized “Venom.”

Too punk rock for me.

I really like this album. It's a good vibe. Not part of my daily listening, but it's a kind of mellow rock that I am enjoying.
