The Velvet Underground
The Velvet UndergroundMore mellow than I was expecting which was a good thing. Interesting, I'll have to revisit sometime.

Appreciate it in terms of song arrangements and harmonies but didn't really care that much about it. Although "God Only Knows" is amazing.
It's pretty much what I expected a somewhat mainstream punk album to sound like.
This is a re-listen for me. Like it a lot, but maybe don't absolutely love it, and I respect it even more than I like it. I've revisited select songs before including Latin Simone which I really like for some reason. And Clint Eastwood was impossible to escape when it came out.

I mean, this album is probably in my top ten at least in terms of the number of times I've listed to it.
Generally not a fan of live albums with a couple exceptions, but this wasn't one of them. I'm very familiar with the popular Neil Young songs and like them a lot (there were two featured on this album). But even those I think I'd rather listen to the studio versions, and the rest of the songs were fine, but nothing special.
First one that I had never even heard of before. Funky disco album. It was fine, just not my thing.
From what I read this is an influential band but I do not enjoy listening. Very dissonant and warbly vocals which I can get past if the music grabs me somehow but it just didn't.
Amazing voice which makes it worth it alone. Might revisit.
