Butterfly by Mariah Carey
Jul 30 2024

Caveat - R&B is not a genre I usually enjoy. Most of the songs on this album were incredibly similar, and none really stood out to me as memorable. The lyrics were very difficult to hear as well, so maybe if I understood them it would have been more profound.

Meat Puppets II by Meat Puppets
Jul 31 2024

This album is definitely not for everyone. The main vocalist is constantly straining his voice, and the instrumentals are highly discordant for most songs. Very difficult listen. One star because the lyrics are clever.

This was an... experience. I'm not entirely sure what I just listened to but I think I know where early Panic! at the Disco got their inspiration from. This definitely works much better as an album than any of their "classic" singles do on their own. Wild.

The Genius Of Ray Charles by Ray Charles
Aug 05 2024

Some quality music, especially for the time period. However most songs were very one-note.

Who's Next by The Who
Aug 06 2024

Pretty solid set of tracks here. It's like these guys know what they're doing. Some poetry and thought and not a bad sound

Aug 08 2024

Neat. The movement of the tracks was pretty slow but not tedious. Seems ahead of its time.

Rhythm Nation 1814 by Janet Jackson
Aug 09 2024

Not really my preferred style of music, but this is an extremely well put together album. Very bold choices and powerful messages

NEU! 75 by Neu!
Aug 12 2024

Surprisingly good. Heavily instrumental, some pieces are reminiscent of the Minecraft soundtrack, others more of jam. Fascinating stuff.

Teenager Of The Year by Frank Black
Aug 13 2024

Pretty Meh. There are some interesting tracks, but the sound quality and lyrics are pretty forgettable.

Electric by The Cult
Aug 14 2024

Not bad, not stellar. Pretty standard fare angsty rock music, but well put together.
