i love the over-arching urban apocalyptic theme and the subtle anti-car centrism. this is what i thought montenegro would look like before i got there. rococo is one of my favourites, i also really like sprawl I, yippee
cool album with an even cooler political background
tell me you're french canadian without telling me you're french canadian
A LOVING AND NOSTALGIC ALBUM
the national are great but i think this is their most overrated album, i get tired of the main guy pretty quickly. a better album would be i am easy to find
p j harvey is very cool, the whores hustle and the hustlers whore is my favourite
if i went into a room with lots of people and this was playing in the background, i would enjoy the vibe of a lot of the songs i think, but also the rapping kinda sucked. whatever. double bass appearance is nice BUT the song it's on makes my head hurt. they're hanging me tonight is a pretty okay track
i was neutral at first and then i lost patience. why he gotta holler like that. the only good part was the first 50 seconds of sweet emotion
love some fiercely political bangers 👍 favourite tracks: welcome to the occupation and of course it's the end of the world as we know it
lame
eminently listenable. i liked junk bond trader
i can imagine how they musta thought this was the shit back in the day when there was less music in the world
is this what construction workers get up to when no one's looking 😧 one point for inventiveness and sounding like they're having a great time
i think bob dylan would be way cooler if there was less of him. maturing is not immediately giving this album one star in retribution for having to listen to too much bob in the car as a kid. 3 points for being way nicer than yesterday's (perspective is a wonderful thing), harmonica skillz, and also the fact that the record cover is great to take photos of over your face from a slight distance
3 stars purely because jazz guys know how to treat a bass right. and to be fair it's pretty listenable
boring and kind of nothing. "Sing, brothers! Sing! SING!" - The Bullet Farmer
yeah, i always meant to listen to more MGMT than just little dark age over and over again. my one qualm is i think it would sound better if they sang in a more serious way more of the time. less frivolity!
ces chansons est comme qqch ma prof de français en annee 10 nous a forcé écouter et puis traduire. je n'ai pas apprécié les flashbacks, à bas les français !
this sounds adjacent to something dad would've played in like 2010. pretty groovy
i'd never heard prince before which seems crazy but this is pretty much what i expected
probably a joyful day for the number one steely dan man paxo8 i thought it was okay and alright
god she's so weird what's happening here. 10/10 no notes. favourite tracks: cloudbusting (of course) the weeewwoooo noises and faint AWOO in mother stands for comfort watching you without me jig of life (or i might hate it, not sure)
i'm going to shit myself and die
