This was so funky and felt so fresh, I thought I was going to hate it but it was infectious. The usual weird stuff about girls that you expect from the 60s but still gives me the ick so minus a star for that but the rest was banging.
Enjoyed this more than I thought. Don’t normally like instrumental but this was engaging and fun for the most part.
I thought I didn’t like jazz but this was easy to listen to and great background music- transported me to a beach bar in Brazil
One of my favourite albums of all time. No skips, flawless. Such a blend of genres and styles, sounds just as great as the first time I heard it 20 years ago.
Another great surprise! This was funny and folky, a great mix of humour and heart, I loved it.
I really liked this, lyrically rich and sonically gorgeous. My only complaint is every song being over 5 minutes! This would have been 5 stars for me honestly if it was 10 minutes shorter.
This was so weird. I was convinced this was a horny old man singing and then I realised Tim Buckley died at 28 and I couldn’t reconcile the voice and the subject matter with a man in his 20s. Too much going on, lots of screaming and wailing, and the songs were way too long. I’d never listen to this again but I’m glad I’ve heard of him.
This started out great but wore a bit thin by the end. The energy is infectious though and I like this style of hip hop a lot more than some of the other stuff.
A poor man’s wham/george Michael. This was fine, inoffensive 80s pop, but lacking the real heart and soul of George Michael and the fun of wham.
Probably my favourite Radiohead album. This is absolutely full of bangers.
Sensational album
Seven Nation Army is obviously an all-time great, so huge and anthemic that it really feels out of place on this quirky album. There are some real bangers on this but some of it is nonsense. A mixed bag but the highs are high enough for 4*
My least favourite TS album but obviously still a 5* from me. Annoying that this isn’t Taylor’s version but still an absolute genre-defining classic modern pop album
There are too many good songs on this album to give it any less than five stars. Some of the songs drag and there is a little too much of a psychedelic influence on some tracks but I just can’t give an album with Goodbye Yellow Brick Road on any less than top marks.
