A Rush of Blood to the Head is an album jam packed full of fabulous melodies. I'd not listened to it before but will definitely be an album that will continue to grow on me when I come back to it.

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
Nov 05 2024

This album intrigued me. It was pioneering in its jazz/ sunk/ synthesizer sound which must have blazed a trail for future works. Initially, the lyrics disappointed because of their portrayal of violence, drugs and gang warfare. Further research highlighted Superfly made up a movie soundtrack about the same, which makes the content understandable. However, I won't be going back to it in a hurry.

Is This It by The Strokes

An album and artist I know very little about. Great energy behind their music. Definitely one for listening with headphones. The energy, message and quality is definitely enhanced with better focus to the brain!

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Dec 09 2024

There were a couple of good songs here but tthe quality isn't consistent across the album. If I'd bought it back in the day, I would have struggled to listen the whole way through

Melodrama by Lorde
Dec 10 2024

A haunting album - beautiful in places, haunting in others. I enjoyed it. A very talented young lady who seems like she has come through many life experiences!

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Dec 11 2024

Crash, Bang, Wallop! Heavy Rock at its uncomplicated best.

69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields
Dec 12 2024

A mixed bag of tracks here. Some I enjoyed. Some I passed on. A lot of humour, though which made me smile!
