Patchy album. First four tracks are strong - side two goes downhill until we get to the classic ‘Freebird’.

Surprised I did not enjoy this iconic album ad much as expected. Highly influential yet after five songs I had heard enough. Mind you, this is punk - not there to be scrutinised by “experts’ online. Just turn it up and enjoy.

Improv jazz noodling. Which is fine but it goes on a bit. May well have been exciting if you were there when it was recorded… however I wasn’t. The first track alone is nearly the same length as the first Ramones album. Technical excellence but low on thrills.
