The Black Saint And The Sinner Lady
Charles MingusReally fun concept album, it was a little hard to get into until track B, but I would probably listen again. Like “Sketches of Spain” Mingus demonstrates talent but it’s not exactly catchy.

A classic that I have enjoyed many times, it ages pretty well.
Not my favorite genre but the album was solid.

I actually really enjoyed this album, which had a lot of "good album" qualities that made it flow well. I think I will revisit it later.
Zoning out haha, do I remember the album? There were some catchy bits but it wouldn't stand out for good or bad from that era, that genre.
I don’t enjoy their lyrics
Better than the other Doors album. Still not my thing.
Interesting sounds and style, very 90s, reminded me of Radiohead.
I did somewhat enjoy this album but I don’t think I’m old enough to under it yet. Very bluesy and a little depressing.
Deliciously coherent, edgy and driven album. If I’m in the mood for it, nothing better than rage, drums, guitars.
Genuinely a fun to listen to album although the instrumental style of the 80s isn’t my favorite, but I like Karma Chameleon and the rest of the album was pretty good if not a little repetitive.
I was really not enjoying the first few songs on this album but Phanta got my attention, and I sort of enjoyed the album after that. Definitely something.
Just a really fun album, definitely my taste in music
It’s probably not really for me, but I liked the artistic qualities. It made for an unusual background to winter driving.
What a trip, I would honestly give this 2.5 stars for the amusing experience of descending into a surreal techno bubble doing paperwork in a windowless room with a door that opens into a noisy industrial processing facility with forklifts and noisy machines. Very appropriate. Most of these songs sound like they could be the background music to the way-too-long opening scene of a 90s movie where someone is going to work in busy traffic, but wow is this a lot of canned beats.
