The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Jan 07 2025

my god. its the exact feeling of growing up in the loathsome pit of suburbia

Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones
Jan 08 2025

brown sugar- what the fuck. an annoying mix of appropriated honky tonk, rock & roll, and southern US history from a millionaire born in kent. sway- mick jagger has a really grating voice. when we talk about word chewing we should include him in that group. wild horses- a song that admits its about nothing i dont care enough to continue

A Short Album About Love by The Divine Comedy
Jan 10 2025

im sad ive never heard this piece of baroque pop before! almost as sad as i was to learn that "everyone knows (except you)" was the breakout hit, when it is objectively the worst song on the album

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
Jan 11 2025

i was already familiar with superfly but yeah its masterful both in its lyrics and its SHEER GROOVE POWER

Electric Music For The Mind And Body by Country Joe & The Fish
Jan 12 2025

not so sweet martha lorraine - i like the trodding and then fractalizing rythmn, with various instrumental sections representing parts of the unfolding narrative porpoise mouth- enjoy for similar reasons section 43- neat odyssey a lot of this album is well performed but not especially notable (to me) psych rock. i like one persons write up where they described it as lysergic rock. thats cute and fits the lyrical surrealist painting being done. and what isnt well performed is grating.

fav tracks- moonage daydream lady stardust i had never listened to this album, or any bowie song, in full before. i dont think i wouldve liked it had i done so earlier, because of how associated these tracks have become with advertisements (mostly for movie trailers). i liked it now because i got to approach it from a blank slate.

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Jan 14 2025

solid but not my thing. i find myself, oddly, annoyed by his warble. other singers vibratos are fine but not his.

Solid Air by John Martyn
Jan 15 2025

fav tracks- solid air, dont want to know, go down easy, dreams by the sea, the man in the station moody, passionate in the way you get walking down a long street, warm instruments in a cold tone, early synths punctuate feelings of distance, melancholy drips from the lyrics. his voice is scratchy but/and/yet soothing.

Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Jan 16 2025

instrumentals are abrasive and hit you low while janis joplins voice hits you high. summertime is a weak point. i started off really liking this album but as it went on it felt like i was begging for it to be over, not due to the length, but due to the constant high energy. the songs start to blur together.

Crocodiles by Echo And The Bunnymen
Jan 21 2025

favorites: do it clean all that jazz

The Dreaming by Kate Bush
Jan 22 2025

KATE BUSH FUCK YEAHHHHH one of my favorite albums of all time, happy to see her here, she deserves it. fav tracks: night of the swallow, there goes a tenner, suspended in gaffa, sat in your lap, leave it open

Slayed? by Slade
Jan 23 2025

huh. i guess thats slade then

Boston by Boston
Jan 25 2025

wow its both brassy And tinny!

Groovin' by The Young Rascals
Jan 26 2025

i get weird vibes from this. asides, nothing horribly bad but entirely forgettable (which is worse)

Technique by New Order
Jan 29 2025

wouldve really liked this in 2012.
