Dirt by Alice In Chains
Jan 09 2025

I have not listened to Alice in Chains before and couldn't name a single song from them. The album sounded like a decent metal album and quite accessible actually even for non-metal fans. Maybe it was a little bit "all too similar" as I struggle to point out any specific tracks after listening to it.

Jan 10 2025

Quite good album and you recognize the artist immediately which says something about the iconic sound she has. Save Me was a pleasant surprise. I was confused about the repeated tracks at the end of the album but apparently they are from a re-release in 1995 which included some stereo versions and now I wish the whole album was in stereo.

Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Jan 14 2025

Some unexpected songs. I couldn't tell you who had made Son of a Preacher Man before so it was fun to hear some of those "I know these songs but I have never really listened to the original".

Jan 15 2025

Not my genre and I don't get it. What is the purpose of having a duo release two single albums, mash them together into a single "double" album? It's 2 hours long and I want my 2 hours back because it wasn't very good.

White Light by Gene Clark
Jan 17 2025

It's definitely an album. I will most likely forget about it in three hours' time. Not really sure why it made the cut for this "1001 albums to listen to before you die". Would have been interesting to see the motivation given the wikipedia article stating that it wasn't a very successful album (outside of Netherlands).

Heroes by David Bowie
Jan 20 2025

Perfectly decent album

Queen II by Queen
Jan 21 2025

I can understand why this album isn't bigger. Seven seas of rhye is nice but the rest of the tracks were forgettable.

Imagine by John Lennon
Jan 22 2025
Jan 23 2025

Banger album. Many great and timeless songs on here and you can quickly understand why it stood the test of time. Not a 5 for me though as Bob Dylan is just a little bit too... repetitive for a whole album.

Jan 24 2025

When I finally thought the album was done I checked Spotify only to find that I had only heard the first track and it was 18 min long... Like the music wasn't bad, there were tracks I liked. But I am not just going to revisit 10-18 min tracks because I "kinda" liked them.

Jan 28 2025

Occasionally good but mostly just weird. Long tracks with random guitar noises. Might have been a better album if it was shorter.

Live / Dead by Grateful Dead
Jan 31 2025

Surprisingly good but why do I keep getting albums with 20 minute tracks??

The Gilded Palace Of Sin by The Flying Burrito Brothers
Jan 13 2026

The band has a funny name. The music didn't quite feel like it matched with the band's name? Pretty generic 60s music in my head.

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Jan 14 2026

Certain songs remind me of early Pink Floyd. It was okay.

Greetings From L.A. by Tim Buckley
Jan 15 2026

What is this? Like from a musical perspective - no surprises really. But the lyrics.. what

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
Jan 19 2026

Really good album! Might keep in my rotation!

Mar 13 2026

Despite being only 1h12m - it felt like it was never going to end. Not a single memorable track.

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Mar 16 2026

I mean good piano playing and the added "fun fact" that it's improvised adds to the experience. But probably nothing I'll revisit.
