ONE OF MY FAVOURITE'S OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Jan 23 2025

Favourite zeppelin so far. I wasn't too huge on their other stuff (obviously it's enjoyable and amazing, but it's not blowing me away) but side C of this! Wow. Incredible.

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Jan 24 2025

this sounds like nothing i've ever heard before: probably because i barely listen to american music. but i like it a lot! it's very chill and comfy, it kind of feels like flying through the stars, or swimming through a coral reef. its hard to describe i guess. it's very special. i want to find more stuff like this!

At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band
Jan 25 2025

pre-listening: i am not looking forward to this one. it doesn't seem interesting for one, it's also a live album - which i don't really have a general fondness for. but maybe it won't be too bad. ohhh honestly i ended up really liking this!! the last 20 minute epic and in memory of elizabeth reed were stunning! i think im converted. i was expecting bad audio quality but it was really good! the vocals were amazing, but the instrumentation even more so. it did feel very american, i think, which is cool (i'm not). it's very nice as background music, when cooking or painting. i made a painting of a butchered fish when listening to this and it turned out great and it made me very happy. lots of joy. good stuff hell yeah yeehaw

I didn't really know what to expect. His energy is really fun. So is his voice. It's very joyous. The sax player was really good. But I think Sam Cooke's voice is what really brought this to life for me. A bit too old-timey for me though, i think. But i did enjoy this.

Is This It by The Strokes
Jan 26 2025

I listened to this for the first time prior to even starting this project. It's really nostalgic to me, because it was recommended to me by one of my favourite painters. However, later on, around 3 months after that conversation, he got exposed on the internet for faking being russian and being extremely xenophobic towards ukrainian and polish people (me!). So i have some weird feelings attached to this. But it's a pretty solid indie-sounding record. Not my usual stuff, though. Favourite track is Soma.

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Jan 27 2025

this is fine. i'm just not in the mood for this at all. completely fine album. nothing much to say

Murmur by R.E.M.
Jan 28 2025

it was okay. some nice rock-y tunes. not much else.

Moon Safari by Air
Jan 29 2025

I LOVED THIS!! it made me very happy. the sound was very calming, yet comely at the same time. wonderful piece of music.

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jan 30 2025

Gooooood stuff. I had no idea reggae was this good.

Superunknown by Soundgarden
Feb 01 2025

didn't really speak to me. a couple of songs had really nice compositions and guitar works, but that's about it. mostly a 'hits' artist, rather than an album artist, i reckon.

Penthouse And Pavement by Heaven 17
Feb 02 2025

this one i have listened to before taking on this project. it's a synthpop bundle of joy. very fun listen.

Ten by Pearl Jam
Feb 04 2025

fun stuff. liked this way more than soundgarden. the vocals are ehh. the last track was awesome, i loved the sort of jam-sesh style. awesome

Ocean Rain by Echo And The Bunnymen
Feb 05 2025

I listened to it before this project, but didn’t remember it well. Less gothic than I recalled. Still, a very good album.

Odessa by Bee Gees
Feb 06 2025

Okay, being honest, I'm not sure if this is a 10/10, maybe more of a 9/10, but hey, why should I care. This one spoke a lot to me. I'm not sure if it is, but it reminded me a lot of prog rock music, but with a little more sort of...softness to it, gentleness. I adored every song. It didn't feel too long, either. The guitars, the violins, keyboards...it all blends perfectly, to me at least. The album flow is amazing, which also reminded me of prog albums as well. The songs seemlessly blend into each other. The sound brings me back to memories of a warm spring walk by the river (Odessa, huh?). I like this a lot. Like a lot lot. I've been in a bit of rut recently due to medical issues but honestly? This just made me so damn happy. I was listening to this with a big smile on my face. And I think that says something. Beautiful work.

Peter Gabriel by Peter Gabriel
Feb 07 2025

I really enjoyed some of these tracks, but the whole time I was thinking about how much I’d rather listen to genesis; this whole album just felt like genesis-lite to me , which I guess makes sense. But still. Perfectly fine project, I just can’t ever imagine going out of my way to just listen to this specifically.

Feb 10 2025

i really liked this. i dont know much about hip hop music but the flow was really nice :) the instrumentals accomplied his voice well! i didn't pay much attention to the lyrics but the arrangment was awesomes

Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones
Feb 11 2025

hell yeah. catchy bunch

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Feb 12 2025

I have listened to this before! Twice actually! I always disliked it. Maybe not disliked....but it didn't really speak to me. The vocalist sounded whiny, and the industrial elements weren't..."raw" enough, it felt dumbed down to me. But alas, as we say in Poland - do trzech razy sztuka...or, I believe in english it would be "thrid times the charm" - because this time around, I really did like it! Granted I wouldn't say it's one of my favourite industrial albums now or something (as of writing, "20 Jazz Funk Greats), but I can appreciate the vision and sound more. The non-vocal tracks at the end were a highlight for me. I still don't really vibe with the lyricism, but I feel like all in all, this album works well for what it's trying to be. Fun stuff.

Feb 13 2025

i loved it! been in a punk mood recently, this was great. i really like the structure of the album, which is full of 1 minute songs, over the span of an hour. i thought that was really cool.
