It's an album that existed. If I was another person back when it was released, it might have really connected with me. Handshake and Future Reflections had musical moments I liked, the rest of it I either knew too well, or didn't care to know. Sorry MGMT, I'm not your audience. <3

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Jan 28 2025

I love percussion that sounds like someone's kicking down my door for 40 minutes. If I could have a fraction this album's energy in my day-to-day, then nothing could best me. The Beastie Boys' variety here is limited, but they do what they do best, and I can't argue with that - nor would I want to. Happy to have been introduced to Licensed To Ill.

After The Gold Rush by Neil Young
Jan 29 2025

Suffering. I have found out what genre I don't like, and it's called Neil Young. The best I have to say is that some of the instrumentals with the guitar in it are good, but then Neil starts singing and everything is ruined. Hell is a Cripple Creek Ferry.

Got a soft spot for Ray Charles. The music is from a bygone era, but still retains a lot of modern feeling, particularly in the faster tracks. Wouldn't really choose to listen to this, but I can appreciate it.

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Jan 31 2025

It's classic and chunky. Happy I listened to it, but I probably won't do so again.

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Feb 03 2025

Better than Led Zeppelin, if I was born in the 60's I would have been listening to this in some dark and danky corner. But I wasn't, so I'm not. Nice vibe, though.

British Steel by Judas Priest
Feb 04 2025

Enjoyed the energy, some of the later songs in the album like Rage and Red White Blue were really good.

Nick Of Time by Bonnie Raitt
Feb 05 2025

You know what, it's not my genre but this was really easy listening. really good voice, chill instruments, here for that this eve.

Step In The Arena by Gang Starr
Feb 06 2025

Nice hip-hop, always here for some hip-hop. Nice sampling in there as well.

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Feb 07 2025

Hey that was really good! Love the solos, songs were long but when you're having fun it ain't bad.

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Feb 10 2025

Not really my thing, but I appreciate that The Rolling Stones exist.

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Feb 11 2025

Unexpected - took a while to get into it, but it's an amazing piano album.

Darkdancer by Les Rythmes Digitales
Feb 12 2025

Middle of the road for me, but I can see where a lot of famous samples came from. Happy to hear Jacques You Body again <3

Beauty And The Beat by The Go-Go's
Feb 13 2025

I'm just not here for them. Some of the songs in the middle are nice enough, but I don't see myself listening to this album again.

evermore by Taylor Swift
Feb 14 2025

Really really lovely. The lyrics painted amazing pictures in my head, it was a gentle album with so much to say. Hey, my first five star!

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Feb 17 2025

I like the energy in the earlier songs, and the harsher rough vocals. The popular ones are good hits, the rest didn't do much for me. I feel bad saying bad about Blondie though, she's lovely.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Feb 18 2025

DNF, it was fine but didn't move me in any which way.

La Revancha Del Tango by Gotan Project
Feb 19 2025

Not on the level of Taylor Swift's Evermore, but I really like this album and the general genre of music. So easy to listen to while working, captures a feeling from the early 2000's that feels so accurate of that time. Love it.

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Feb 28 2025

The classics are amazing, the songs around it not so much. Close to a 5 star, still a good listen.

Mar 05 2025

Improv jazz is regrettably not my thing, so while each track starts off nice, it dissolves into jazzy mess not long after. To each their own.

At Budokan by Cheap Trick
Jul 18 2025

Three stars for the genre, knew I Want You To Want Me from 10 Things I Hate About You. The album is fine, but boring.

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
Jul 25 2025

Really good album, got better the further I went through it. Classic dark hip-hop, love it.
