1001 Albums Summary

What a bombshell to drop for the first album to listen to. I love it, and obviously heard it before, but man it's a sad piece to listen to. Maybe that's a good thing... It has been a while since I listened to this album, and it does give you perspective. I also realized how much I miss Bowie.

Listened to this while yaking a walk in the park, which really suited the music. There are some really nice progressions, bass lines, and melodies thrown out throughout this album; it's not the classical kind of jaaz and I usually find a little too stiff and boring. Will listen again.

Classic American rock. Listening to "Without You" by itself and not as part of a trashy rom-com movie gives it the required space it needs :) Reminds me of Steely Dan in production sound and variety of rhythms and different songs. Not exactly my cup of tea, but definitely some good tracks in there - the popular ones are obviously very popular.

Love these concept albums. Pretty awesome melding of different genres and styles, there's ups and downs, and it's all a little psychedelic which I like.

Classic. Haven't listened to it in a long time, and I'm not a huge Rollings Stones fan, but definitely a good album. I am a big fan of Ventilator Blues though ;)

I was there, and in the right age when it went out, so definitely some good memories from that album. I still listen to these songs every once in a while, and it's a great album, but I wouldn't say it's a "part of me" when it comes to my listening habits.

No one needs to listen to this album before they die.
