One of the masterminds behind Master of Puppets was Cliff, the bass player at that time who died when their tour bus crashed while touring. Such a tragedy and turning point for the band. It completely shaped the genre and everyone who got into it. This album was definitely a gateway for me and many of my friends during our teen years!

had no idea this band was seattle-based too. you can easily do a mash-up between "good golly miss holly" and "roll over beethoven" (made me want to see the movie again!)

The songs on this album are all over the place...there is no correlation whatsoever. This just proves that Elton John could do anything (and everything)!! What a king.

I only enjoyed the first half where it sounded more anarchich-garage-punk. It threw me off completely knowing that this is the band that wrote “brass in pocket”

Crosstown Traffic and All Along the Watchover will remain as one of the best tracks in the history of rock n roll.
