Mothership Connection
ParliamentPeak 70s funk. Lovely crisp sound and spacey instrumentals. Pleasant surprise when Give up the Funk turned up towards the end. Standout track: Mothership Connection (Star Child)

Elvis has never been my thing. Aside from Suspicious Minds and the bluesy Power of my Love, this album is a repetitive dirge.
Absolute classic of my teenage years. First listen in quite a while and still holds up really well, which is more than can be said for anything Pink Floyd put out after this one. Had forgotten how excellent the second half of Shine on you Crazy Diamond is in particular.
All time top 10 record. Still never heard anything like it before or since
Third teenage classic in a row! Though my love for Led Zep has diminished over time, there’s no denying the power of their peak album, from the crazy riff of Black Dog through to the cataclysmic drumbeat that anchors When the Levee Breaks.
First album I came into completely blind and unfortunately I did not enjoy it. Feels like half baked Pavement without the melodic and lyrical inventiveness and the constant 40 second snippets quickly became irritating.
Good fun! Strong first half with some great beats and flow. Lost me a bit in the second half as not really connecting with the more R&B stuff. Standout tracks: Gossip Folks, Slide
One day I’ll find a country album I enjoy. Not this one.
Not listened in full for ages. Some stinkers but I still maintain that a single disc White Album would be arguably their best. This would be my track listing: Side 1: Back in the USSR Dear Prudence While my guitar gently weeps Happiness is a Warm Gun I’m so tired Blackbird Rocky Raccoon Side 2: Why don’t we do it in the road? Julia Sexy Sadie Helter skelter Revolution 1 Revolution 9 (has to be included!)
Contains one of my all time fav songs in Unfinished Sympathy but rarely find myself coming back to the rest of the album. Still hugely iconic and influential.
Finally an album totally new to me that I really enjoyed! Steely Dan-core so an easy sell for me, liked the distinctive vocals and rumbling energy.
Two phenomenal classics, rest is just fine. Struggle with whole Bowie albums
Coming back to this one due to length
Forgettable blues rock
Hip hop classic. Blows my mind it’s from 1988.
Hard to rate jazz albums, always good but don’t know enough to really differentiate them. Good listen though.
Didn’t really grab me… never been that keen on early Blur
Best opening/closing track combo ever. Find the middle section of the album a little dull which holds it back from a 5 for me.
Big Wicker Man vibes
