All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Apr 01 2025

ok 1/3 of the ay through, really like it so far. obv knew my sweet lord when it came on. i can hear the beatles influence, or rathger georges infl;uence in the bewatls. hoping for more blues tunes. what a wild mix of acoustic and electric from song to song, yet the album is cohesive. the songwiritng is interesting and thematic. i havent listened much to the lyrics i am working.

xx by The xx
Apr 02 2025

Very boring. Very 2009. I did not enjoy it and at times actively disliked it. I feel like The Intro was forced upon society as some kind of ultra crossover song. The rest of the album felt contrived. The whole thing lacked depth. Maybe I’m missing some huge piece of this puzzle, but I thought the whole thing sucked and I never need to listen to it again. Including The Intro.

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
Apr 03 2025

Very good. I feel like the stones were in full swing here. I love the country and blues of elements. Good listen front to back

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Apr 04 2025

Brilliant and genre bending. Can’t believe I had never listened to it before. Will go into regular rotation. Just excellent

Purple Rain by Prince
Apr 05 2025

Excellent. Wild. Sexy. Prince is king. Not all songs were for me. Nikki song was a trip. Much respect RIP

A Girl Called Dusty by Dusty Springfield
Apr 06 2025

Really good! I didn’t know dusty sang many of the songs she did. Iconic! Would listen again

Apr 08 2025

Obv respect is a classic and a hell of a leadoff song. I recognized a few others. Good album, wouldn’t be in my regular rotation

Sunshine Superman by Donovan
Apr 09 2025

Very 60s but not overwhelming in any direction. It was just ok, season of the witch stays on my Halloween playlist

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Apr 13 2025

I really enjoyed it although I was very different from other iron. I’d listen to. Really strong debut album, you can really feel the structure of what Iron Maiden became. I’m wondering if the singer changed or if he just changed his voice. Great listen would listen again

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Apr 18 2025

Great album, but morrisey is a wanker!

A Little Deeper by Ms. Dynamite
Apr 24 2025

Respectfully, I enjoyed parts of this album. Disrespectfully, it feels like a page-three Wish version of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Released during a creatively exhausted era of hip-hop, pop, and R&B, A Little Deeper struggled to stand out. Around this time, the spotlight had shifted—genres like indie rock and nu-metal were pulling focus (The Strokes, Linkin Park), and hip-hop was entering a new chapter with artists like Kanye and Eminem reshaping the landscape. The album isn’t bad—it’s nostalgic in its production, and I enjoy listening to this style—but the concept feels recycled, underdeveloped, and at times, pandering. There’s clear talent here, but the execution doesn’t hold up. It’s an unfortunate product of its moment: caught between what had already been done and what was about to change.

Opus Dei by Laibach
May 02 2025

I went in knowing nothing. It was a bizarre listen. Very operatic like The Wall, but with a DIY industrial feel. Not my kind of music, an interesting listen nonetheless.

The Score by Fugees

Brilliant. One of the all-time greats.

Traffic by Traffic
May 07 2025

generic and uninspired. it was a tough listen.

Third by Soft Machine
May 09 2025
