Bridge Over Troubled Water is good. It has a sort of melancholic, yet comforting feeling. Other than that, The Boxer was memorable (because it went on for so long), and Song for the Asking somewhat stood out. I think I can remember the Frank Lloyd Wright song because it's just so strange, and I might remember that Baby Driver exists but I don't know how it goes. All in all, Bridge was the only standout song for me.
Pleasant listening experience overall. Groovy and upbeat. However, Bold as Love was the only one that I could maybe see adding to my playlist.
Decent background music but nothing memorable
Great album! I liked both parts of Synchronicity; I liked the smooth jazz vibe of Murder by Numbers; I liked King of Pain enough to add it to the playlist; Every Breath You Take <3; the only song I didn't like here was Mother--it was weird and rowdy.
Absolute classic. Very excited to finally give it a listen! Aside from the ones I already knew, Something was good, Golden Slumbers was satisfying to listen to, and The End felt deserving of the name. Her Majesty was funny. On the other hand, I Want You was 5 minutes too long and Because was boring.
Honestly, it's a very rough album until Girls. I like Girls. I did enjoy Time to Get Ill and Brass Monkey, but overall, the album doesn't match with me too well.
Perhaps it's because I was too focused on my work, but nothing on here stood out to me.
I wasn't paying too much attention to the songs, but I did like what I was hearing. Sex On Fire sounded good as well as Cold Desert.
And so Sally can wait!
Good album overall, no real low points.
Anyway, here's Wonderwall
Funky type beat. A bit of a different listening experience for me as I don't listen to a lot of jazz. Since they're all instrumentals, it's hard to pick one out specifically. Nothing here sounded bad, but at the same time I can't recall a single song.
The overarching mood was quiet and slow, which does not mesh well with me. The parts that were not quiet were not as rowdy and hard as I was hoping for. Hot take, but I do not like Another Brick in the Wall. I did like the seamless transitions between songs. Did not enjoy overall.
I found this album very boring. Not sure why I got two Simon and Garfunkel albums in two weeks. Their themes just are not for me. 7 O'Clock News is hardly even a song. I know there's political themes, but I'm not listening to them for the political themes, I'm listening to music because I want to hear music.
I like Bruce Springsteen, but Born in the U.S.A. just isn't as strong as Born to Run. U.S.A. has a couple knockouts, and I enjoy it overall, but it doesn't have the oomph factor to really propel it to four stars. Good songs, but no homeruns like Born to Run with Thunder Road, Badlands, and the titular Born to Run.
Honestly, I was kind of vibing throughout, but it doesn't feel right to give it an earnest three stars when I was hardly even paying attention.
