Still holds up. Amazing how analog it sounds now, despite seeming like it was beamed down from another planet at the time. Kudos to Beck & The Dust Brothers for an all-time/nuanced banger.

I've never listened to Joan Armatrading before...what a great record! Warm production, incredible lyrics, interesting chord changes abound, all held together by a one-of-a kind artist. If only more folk-based records found a way feel as contemporary, yet timeless.
