This was great! I listened to this on the subway home tonight. I was in a good mood and really enjoyed Mark Knopfler's voice. It is very soothing and precise, he doesn't need to raise his voice and he just has a great flow. Sultans of Swing is just so so good and I get the feeling the whole album is built around it. I wonder if bands sometimes get a real time feeling when they are recording a song that they have hit the nail on the head, I bet these guys were pretty happy with how Sultans of Swing was sounding haha.
I listen to half this record :) Living in the 70's is a banger. I will come back to this one for sure.
Didnโt listen. I will come back to it ๐. I think itโs going to be a 3
I listened to this record on the way to work this morning. It finishes so well with American Girl, what a banger! It was a nice steady pace, I didnโt feel inclined to skip any songs. I zoned off a few times but when I came back to it I liked what I was hearing. I would listen to more of his stuff if you have recommendations ๐. Iโm going to guess Dad likes this album and Kieran you will be indifferent about it ๐.
This was awesome! Nicolette and I watched her documentary this passed Saturday. I was wondering if this album would come up here. Iโm sure you can imagine my shock when this album was revealed on Monday ๐. Nicolette told me to think about her as an 8 year old listening to this album and learning to be fierce ๐. This is just an album of bangers. It is terrific. Kieran I think you and Hannah will love it. Dad ๐ง Iโm guessing you are a fan of this record? Five starts. Awesome album.
I listened to this on the way home from work on Friday ๐. Itโs got a nice relaxed and care free vibe to it. Up on Cripple Creek is an awesome funky song! I think you might have played this album af Ulladulla once or twice dad? Or am I mistaking this for a different album. I loved it, itโs saved on my Spotify and I will listen to it again.
I found this album surprisingly enjoyable. I listened to it on Monday morning going to work and it was raining. Beautiful, is a song I used to listen to a lot growing up on those So Fresh CDs, and it still holds up. To me she sounds like at this point in her life she had taken everyones criticism very personally and to heart, this album is her way of saying fu*k you this is me, take it or leave it, I don't care what you think anymore. Dad, I don't think you will like this album, Kieran you are a maybe, I really don't know what you would think of this album haha.
