Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse

4.5/5 Listening to this while stranded in the middle of nowhere, drinking a strawberry lemonade from the gas station, with a cool breeze smelling of rain—a spiritual experience.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Apr 23 2025

4.5/5 What a stellar voice! Debbie's ability to create a variety of sounds and moods is incredible. This album has such strong presence. "Hanging On The Telephone" is the perfect intro to the album with "One Way Or Another" following on its heels. "Picture This" provides a nice mood change while keeping the energy. "Fade Away And Radiate" gives such a rich sound to the album as a whole while "Pretty Baby" keeps the album light and fun. Anthem-like pop rock song "I Know But I Don't Know" has some funky sounds. "11:59" almost has a folky sound to it? Totally rocks though. "Will Anything Happen" has such a fun tone and drive that makes me want to dance. The overall upbeat mood of the album is kept by "Sunday Girl" and "Heart of Glass" while "I'm Gonna Love You Too" digs into those catchy, funky sounds. With its catchy melody, unique vocals, and synthy drive, "Just Go Away" is a great outro for the album.

2/5 One point for "Right Here, Right Now" and one point for "Praise You." Really repetitive. Like, REALLY repetitive. Not bad if you just wanna dance in a club or something, but to listen to for enjoyment? It's not it.

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips

4/5 Felt the way cream soda tastes until the fourth track. Then it felt the way soda water tastes. Then immediately after it was just soda bubbles, warm sun, and the smell of strawberry vapes. Absolutely bizzare and so much fun.

3/5 A great album for background noise. Not many songs on here are all that great for *just listening* though.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka

5/5 Nothing but vibes. My favorite album from this list so far. Wow wow wow.

Parachutes by Coldplay
May 09 2025

People who hate on Coldplay hate as if they have nothing better to do. This isn't the greatest album on earth, but hating something just because it's popular doesn't make you cool. This is a solid debut album. I like Coldplay - always have, always will. Suck it.

4.3/5 A sweet sound, great vocals, and solid album all the way through.

Songs The Lord Taught Us by The Cramps
May 21 2025

2/5 Didn't kill my ears but the only song I'll listen to after this is "I Was A Teenage Werewolf"

Abbey Road by Beatles
May 23 2025

4.5/5 I can understand why The Beatles are so popular. This was a good album. A little all over the place, but not terrible. I wouldn't say it's the best album ever, but I liked a lot of the songs on here. The album cover is so iconic though.

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
May 26 2025

3/5 The good songs were good, the rest was background music.
