Santanainteresting electric guitar. itโs santana so i expected nothing less. i mildly enjoyed it. the instrumentation was unique in the way where the different voices blended together but also clashed in other songs.

i definitely got tracy chapman vibes, i loved the acoustic sounds. very chill album!
unpredictably intriguing! iโm glad that i gave this album a chance because one of my least favorite songs is michael kiwanukaโs โcold little heartโ. so upon listening i was incredibly skeptical! BUT HOWEVER i really truly enjoyed this album and its creativity fusing jazz and blues in a unique way.
MY FAV RADIOHEAD ALBUM!! this album is so fantastic and i love the shift of energy in this one from their previous album which was much more melancholy. my favorite song from this album is โweird fishes / arpeggiโ. it encapsulates every confusing feeling into one song! this album is certainly in my top 30 albums of all time.
UMM hello?? i did not know that mr. steely dan was this jazzy ๐ i am such a fan now and will continue to listen to this wonderful album! i do think my favorite song was the first one: โBlack Cowโ, the funky and diverse instrumentation was entertaining and fun to listen to. it is definitely a good album to walk around the city to ๐บ๐ฟ
i wish that i could give this album a 4.5 star rating, because i LOVED IT. it honestly caught me off guard because i was prepared for an achingly sad album like his other two albums (either/or and also his self titled โelliott smithโ) however, i enjoyed the more upbeat vibe that this collection of songs brought. it was fantastic and had a good balance of dynamic emotions over the album. fav song: stupidity tries
i loveeee TLC, this is my favorite one of their albums. i think that every song on it has great purpose, especially the placements of the interludes. im obsessed with how this album opens with the song: intro-lude. however, my favorite song is "kick your game", or "creep", OR "intro-lude". ugh this album was so so good i love it. also- ofc it is good because babyface produced it
ugh NO thank you. i do not like the doors i do not like jim morrison. i do not like this album.
i dont typically choose to listen to mr leonard cohen but i am glad that this was the album for the day. this was the first time i actively listened to his music. i really love bob dylan so this felt like a toned down version of his music. i like the storytelling aspect of his lyrics. he sings with a peaceful tone and i think that it is good background music. i can definitely see how he may have influenced paul simon's solo work. but overall, this album was gentle and lovely. however, i still wouldnt reach for most songs from this album. my favorite song was "hey, thats no way to say goodbye". i would rate it a 2.5 or a 3, but im feeling generous so ill rate it a 3.
yaasss ok so this is my childhood- i was introduced to alice cooper through the muppet show (Episode 307 for reference!) i really do enjoy this album. it is an accessible version of rock music for his era. I also really like the song "unfinished sweet", the instrumental breakdown in the middle of the song is very creative. my favorite song is "no more mr nice guy"
ok- so honestly i am not the biggest jack white or white stripes fan. but i think that this album is important in the context of its time. it sparked a new era of rock and roll in the early 2000s and many other artists copied the sound of this album. i also think that it is interesting that it was recorded in one week in the studio, that is insane. most songs do sound like they were recorded in less than a week. it is very obvious. "we're going to be friends" and "offend in every way" are my fav songs here. im not a white stripes hater bc i do like their music and music videos but i dont enjoy listening to their whole albums. I am giving this album 2 stars today because it's not my personal type of music that i enjoy listening to. his voice is difficult for me to listen to for extended periods of time. but i would give it 2.5 if possible.
i am not a big fan of nick drake's vocals, it is too unpredictable for me and makes me feel weird for some reason. this album was his last one with other musicians. i really like the instrumental songs or extended sections within the song without him singing. his music feels too boring though, especially a whole album of this boredom. i can listen to one or two songs of nick drake's but then i get sick of it.
this was ok- im not a big pixies fan but i did like a few of the songs on this album! obviously the most popular one- "Where is My Mind" was good, but I also enjoyed most of the songs later in the album too. i think that this album is incredibly important for this history and evolution of the rock genre, but it is not necessarily something i would listen to.
this is a long long album with the first song being 11 minutes but i view it as the establishment of the vibe of the album. WHICH i do appreciate! i think that this was excellent- very interesting and i have never heard of this band before- faust?! ummm but i did really dislike several of the weird sound effects that they included it is a little too weird for me.
i loved this album! there are so many fantastic songs on it, but my absolute favorite is "tangerine". this song is BEAUTIFUL! i also love the duality of the album, with some intense heavy rock songs like "immigrant song" but then zeppelin has the ability to create beautiful ballads like "tangerine". i was going to say that this could be the best zeppelin album, but i had forgotten about their album that they released one year after this (led zeppelin IV) which is definitely my favorite.
for some reason these songs give MAJOR male fiona apple vibes, especially the song "bad company"- i did enjoy this a lot! i have never heard of this band before, but i really like it! it is a mix of chill, acoustic and electric, classic and utter rock! i will continue to listen to more of bad company's music probably!
1972! alright so this album is average in my opinion. nothing significantly grabs my attention but i am not wanting to turn it off. I am content with just having it as background music. i have also never heard of steven stills before- getting a lot of new music artists recently through here!
janis is awesome, i dont listen to her stuff that much but she is a queen and i did really like this album.
I LOVEEEEEE THIS ALBUMMMMMM!!! songs from the big chair is arguably one of the best british new wave albums there is.
love don, classic oldies album that is peaceful and sad
I LOVE THIS ALBUM SOOOOOO MUCH!!! each song holds so much emotion, definitely is one of my favorite adele albums. "when we were young" gets me every time. it is achingly beautiful. adele is so talented, i love her.
