Fire
If you like organ this is a very good album, it's very easy to fall asleep while driving to a couple of these tracks.
Feels so grand but also small. Vocals are a little croonerey in a good way. Very good and I will be spending more time with it.
No one's loved and lost like Frank.
A lot of boring background music rock with a few bangers mixed in
There is a lot of artistic merit here but there are so many tracks that I would never return to for any enjoyment. Bro nailed the sound for Halloween music though.
A great introduction to big band jazz that reveals more of itself as you return to it.
Great beats and as someone who doesn't listen to the beastie boys, a surprising amount of great instrumentals. The only problem with it is sometimes the lyrics are too obscured by the distortion on the vocals.
Not mind blowing in any way but makes me go 🤘
Those who don't love this just aren't folkpilled and americanamaxxing enough this is genuinely an amazing album.
This is not the type or album I typically listen to but I was surprised to enjoy this pretty well. Some sections are a little repetitive for me, and I didn't like the Noel Gallagher song lmao
Just beautiful
A lot of great songs and that are surprisingly pretty diverse
Three queens and beautiful harmonies, what's not to love? Dolly seems to take the lead on the majority of songs and I'd love to hear linda and Emmy Lou Harris a little more but they still have their respective moments and it makes for a great record vocally.
Cool bluesy rock songs with finger picking. Pretty fire.
A weird mix of electronic and standard band writing that doesn't mix for me. Each song makes me wish I was listening to a different better song. Everything is also just too long each track and the album as a whole.
A lot of cool grooves and interesting ideas here, the voice clips give the record a lot more character.
I can't help it I love it.
Entirely unoriginal and their spotify bio reflects how egocentric this group acts about their music. You aren't geniuses for playing bland indie rock with a bob dylan impression!
The song writing here is fine and I like a few tracks but several are just not strong enough. I don't know if I have a distaste for the softer britpop songs or the singer's vocal style but I much preferred the faster songs with more rockin energy.
After hating U2 for years and giving actung baby a 2 previously on this list, I've come to realize I don't hate U2. I hate later U2. This is some good shit.
Ray Charles's interpretations of classic country and western songs as soul and big band tracks makes me as a musician think about the lines drawn between genres and how good songwriting is more universal than we realize. The album otherwise is incredibly enjoyable as well.
I can remember a time where if I heard this for the first time I would have liked it, but it just seems too whatever and normal now.
