Fear and Whiskey by Mekons
May 13 2025

- Ending of Trouble Down South makes me think of that one part in 9/11 Footwerk - I thought Psycho Cupid (Danceband on the Edge of Time) would build up to something but it didn't lol - I don't know if it's just me not having a solid baseline for music/country at this time but I feel like I didn't enjoy listening to this, and I'm not hankering for a second listen.

Group Sex by Circle Jerks
May 14 2025

Took me a good bit to get acclimated but I think I was having fun with it by the end.

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman

This was a really smooth album to listen to, enjoyed it a lot.

Dig Your Own Hole by The Chemical Brothers
May 20 2025

This started at a 4 or 5 for me but kinda dwindled to a 3.5 by the end. I don't think it's an overall bad album at all though. - I found it fun enough to listen to (at least the first half); cool production throughout the whole album I think - Feels like it kinda overstays its welcome/is repetitive (felt a little "exhausted"/dragged out by Elektrobank) - By the second half even some of the shorter (2-3 minute) tracks feel dragged out - That pan flute or whatever halfway through The Private Psychadelic Reel was kinda grating, and then the rest of the track kinda went off the rails but not in a good way

I think it's around a 4.5 from me.
