The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
May 19 2025

Already listened to it many times. One of my favorites.

I know PJ by name for a long time now, but never really got to actually listen to her until now. Starting off, I didn't really love her voice in the opener. The music was cool, but nothing that blew my mind. Things change by the second song, 'Good Fortune'. Now this is something else. Gotta say that this is one of my favorite "new" songs in a while. I totally dig PJ's voice by now. It's like a more modern and grungier Patti Smith. Then other influences clearly show, like Nick Cave or Radiohead, which are quite obvious given her work and relationship with the former and the actual collaborations in this album of the latter. But all filtered through her own style. Amazing discovery for me.

Who's Next by The Who
May 21 2025

One of my favorite albums ever. And certainly one of the best ever. For of the best and most influential rock musicians at the top of their game. If you don't get chills with that "YEAH!" then I'm sorry, but rock music isn't your thing.

Mothership Connection by Parliament
May 22 2025

Awesome groove, though some of the songs feel too long and repetitive.

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
May 23 2025

A few of Radiohead albums are among my favorites ever. This one isn't one of them. It's rather one of the ones I could never really get into, along with Amnesiac. Some really great songs, but the album as a whole feels kinda sparse and uneven.

Either Or by Elliott Smith
May 26 2025

Beautiful album. Not my fave from Elliott, though.

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel
May 27 2025

Got nothing against S&G, I actually like some of their songs, but this was too boring. Maybe in other time, on a different mood. Still giving it 3 stars.

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
May 29 2025

Stone cold classic. The first four songs are one of the best openers out there. Arguably the most important hip hop album ever.

Jun 02 2025

Great album. Never heard anything besides the classics (Pretend, Kids) which, by the way, are contenders for some of the greatest songs of the century so far.

Harvest by Neil Young
Jun 09 2025
Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Jun 16 2025

Seminal heavy metal album. Arguably the best ever in that genre, and one of the greatest of rock in general, too.
