I had only heard Pink Moon before this album. I found Five Leaves Left more musical and somewhat more accessible.

An achievement in recording for the time.

I’ve tried, but I just can’t seem to get into Bruce in the 80’s. He was supposed to be the next Bob Dylan but instead turned into a caricature of himself. There are for sure classics on this album but too much pop washes it all away.
