1001 Albums Summary

I liked the instrumental components in this. The repetitive, strained lyrics made some of it a tough listen though. Would need to be in a specific mood.

The first song sounded like electric cat stevens in a good way. I really enjoyed this, it was just 'different' enough to challenge me, but had real heart. 'Do You Realize?' really stayed with me. **I just listened to this again and it's great!! This is only my second album with this though, so it's hard to give a 5⭐ this early**

I liked 'Planet Claire', it felt funky/fun while still being cool. Also lol'd when the guy just yells "WELL SHE ISN'T!". Some of the other stuff swung the pendulum too far to the funky/silly side for me. Would be interested to see if other B52 stuff is just a meme or not, because the instrumental work is great. 3⭐ feels generous, but 2 would feel harsher.

This was a hard one, not because it was bad, it just felt like I was listening in on something deeply persona. Cohen's struggle with God, made me slightly uncomfortable as someone who is trying to cultivate their own relationship with God. The spoken word poetry style was different to what I'm used to. The poetry was good tho. 3⭐, though not likely something I'd come back to very often.

4⭐ for message in a bottle alone (fav song in year 9 lol)

I don't care to admit that up until the age of 18, I thought 'Creedence Clearwater Revival' were a cover band for another called 'Creedence Clearwater' 💀. This album had nothing that I disliked, but nothing I liked either. Feels like something you'd put on in the background playing pool.

Far out, didn't realise how long this was. Didn't listen to all of it. It was cool instrumental with some electric feel, nothing amazing tho for me.
