There's a reason he was the king of pop. Despite not being a hardcore MJ fan, I was still exposed to many of his songs growing up. They all have a familiar and rhythmic beat that makes following along easy and bob your head to 🕺 I remember playing one of his albums on cassette and slightly holding the fast forward so he sounded like a chipmunk. I think it might have been Bad though, not Off The Wall. Overall I think there are bangers in here that most would enjoy.
If I could give it 2.5, I would've. It's one of those ones where if someone played it, I wouldn't mind or complain, but it's not an album I would've actively went to listen to if not for this project
Wasn't exactly my cup of tea, but I didn't hate it either.
While I enjoyed this, it has very angsty lyrics and singing which I think high school me would have appreciated this more than adult me. I especially enjoyed the instrumental and the rhythmic rapping. Found myself tapping my foot or bobbing my head along quite often. Note quite a 5 for me, but close.
When the first song played, all I could think about was Perry the Platypus, so I knew we were off to a great start. Sadly 2 of the songs wasn't available on Spotify? But what was there I enjoyed. I didn't know these were the people behind Rock Lobster! 4/5
Nothing special, just kind of there for me
I like to read the Spotify bios and he definitely has an interesting one that added to the experience. I would say most of the songs were good but nothing special, but I loved "Time", especially the intensity near the end. "Under The Moonlight" also had some good riffs. "Are You Real" got me bobbing my head.
My personal scale
1 - would not listen to again
2 - if some one played it, I'd probably just zone it out
3 - didn't hate it, didn't love it
4 - saved some songs from the album
5 - would buy the album or already own it

Love Gorillaz. Both wacky aesthetics, lore, and music. I think "Demon Days" is a better album, but this one also slaps. Fun fact the melody from "Clint Eastwood" was actually just a demo loop from a Suzuki Omnichord. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/kn8ocOsdbEo

I feel this wasn't a bad album, but I don't think it's his best work. If this is his only one in the top 1001, then I'd be surprised. This one makes for relaxing background music, but not something I'd bellow along with

Dadra was a fun one, but not enough for me to save. If I could give half ratings, this would be a solid 3.5, but unfortunately not enough to push into a 4 for me

It all kinda sounded the same. There were a few moments where I thought the song was just repeating.

Another day another 3. Maybe it's just the older styles we've been getting. I don't hate them, but most of them haven't really pulled me into them. I even tried listening a couple of times in the evening and morning after and felt the same.

I enjoyed it at the start, I like me some reggae, but it kinda dragged. I'd give it a 2.5 if possible, but definitely zoned out here and there

It was a safe play, nothing horrible about it and just good enough that it was alright in the background

I like Jazz. That start was really fun, it did taper off a bit near the end. 3.5 if I could give half stars

Maybe it was just a bad pace for my mood at the time, but it was too slow for my liking. Zoned out a lot.

A few alright ones in there. I could picture the bar fight scene as the music played, but overall eh, 2.5
